QueerPK was an independent queer media and community project based in Pakistan, active during the early 2010s.

It was the first dedicated queer media initiative in the country, created to open public and semi-public discussion around the human rights of LGBTQIA+ people, as well as the rights of other marginalized communities, including women. The project combined media publishing with an online community space, offering content in both English and Urdu.

QueerPK provided critical information on sexual health, personal safety, and strategies for existing under conditions of extreme social and institutional hostility. The project was self-funded and operated anonymously, prioritizing the safety of contributors and participants.

At the time, there was a severe lack of reliable data on the treatment of queer communities in Pakistan. The public, institutional, and governmental reactions to QueerPK itself therefore became a source of evidence, offering a rare basis for assessing how LGBTQIA+ people are perceived, treated, and constrained within the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

These reactions were subsequently referenced by researchers, policymakers, and institutions to evaluate human rights conditions, inform guidelines, and document patterns of abuse. QueerPK continues to be cited as a case reference in discussions of LGBTQIA+ rights and human rights violations in Pakistan.

As threats escalated and the risk to individuals involved increased, the project was shut down following government intervention. It is now formally archived.
